Capabilities of the new iPod video - June 8, 2010

The capabilities of the new iPod video continue the developing process of the old capabilities – software, hardware and compatibility with other devices.

Concerning the software, it is well-known that the iPod in general and the iPod video in particular play MP3, audible audio book, WAV, M4A/AAC, protected AAC, AIFF and Apple Lossless audio file formats. Since the 5th generation iPods there is another possibility of playing m4v and mp4 MPEG-4 video file formats. Only non copy-protected WMA files may be copied to an iPod. Other formats are not possible to be played by the iPod and this is the case of FLAC and Ogg Vorbis formats.

Besides, the iPods are especially designed for matching the iTunes media library software. This online music store appeared in 2003 and it sells songs and it was thought exclusively for the iPod users and not for other portable music players. This may have contributed to the success both the iPods and the iTunes music store and to the great development and improvements of the iPod’s capabilities.

The software of the new iPod video has new features – personalized recommendations and video content that can be played on a Pc or transferred to the iPod. The software was upgraded to Version 6, fact that represents a development and a distinct achievement.

Concerning the hardware of the iPods one may say that the first generation iPods were recharged only through FireWire with the help of a small power adapter. The 4th generation iPods may have been charged over USB. The 5th generation iPod may be charged with the help of a dock connector allowing the FireWire cable to be plugged in for the recharge.

Compatibility of the iPods with Windows is the idea of Apple, realized in 2002, fact that contributed to the creation of a Windows version of iTunes in 2003. The iPods could be made to be compatible with a Macintosh and there is also an iPodLinux project.

A Video Game Show With A PUNCH - December 25, 2009

Here is the deal if you are looking for a video game show with a bash then Jace Hall delivers. Each week he brings in you to a knew celebrity. The celebrity can be anyone from Christina Millian to Morris Chestnutt. You never know with Jace Hall.

He also occassionally shows footage you will never see anywhere else on his video game show. Last time he showed footage from the Duke Nukem Forever game.

Sometimes he will take you on a behind-the-scenes tour of show like Star Gate or Star Trek. How can he do this? Jace Hall has the clout thats how. If you are not into the celeb thing then you can always watch as he takes you into the Unreal 3 Engine and shows you games like Chadham.

His humor is a little slapstick though, so for those of you who can’t stand stupid humor then stay away and avoid making stupid comments. This is one video game show worth watching that is for sure.

Other video game shows just do not compare. They over try. Sometimes they can get boring. Explain levels of video games….who wants that? Well maybe you do, but still. Other shows use extreme humor and props like G4’s AOTS…blah boring. At least Jace Hall doesn’t dress up to entertain anyone.

Or maybe you are a WOW junkie. The good news for you, or bad, is that it is going to be a movie and I am guessing that Jace Hall will probably have some footage regarding that in his next season. Yes with the evolution of gaming and movies Jace Hall has a lot of goodies to share on his video game show.

VIdeo Game shows are something that started in the 90’s really. With the outcome of the internet taking over our minds many people saw it as their opportunity to start a video game show. Which is probably why there is a lack in quality in most. Personally I miss the old days of Mario and Atari. Back when a host of a video game show was not trying to destroy our minds, but ah las what can you do. If you must watch then at least watch the one I am talking about right now.
